Microsoft Corps Hotmail will become the latest Webbased email service to increase the amount of storage space available for its free accounts following similar moves by rivals
Beginning later this summer the company plans to increase the amount of storage for its free Hotmail account inboxes to 250 megabytes up from two megabytes Users also will be able to send larger attachments up to 10 megabytes

Microsoft has hit back in the increasinglyfierce email war with its major rivals
It plans to give its Hotmail customers more storage space and boost the size limits on free accounts
This will match the moves made by Yahoo earlier this month
Microsoft is also aiming to introduce free email and antivirus protection for all its 170 million Hotmail subscribers worldwide
This will scan and clean both incoming and outgoing mail for viruses and worms before they can enter a customers inbox
All the changes will be brought in early next month...
