About 24 million Americans will use a search engine this year to do research on their next cell phone and cellular service according to a study by the research firm Compete and Yahoo
The study included Web search results using Yahoo Google Ask Jeeves Lycos and Hotbot It found the number of consumers using search engines to help make wireless purchases had increased 72 percent last year and that Internet searching was a primary decisionmaking tool
